Your library
Each song you add becomes an entry in your library. It keeps the original audio, the notes that were worked out, and any fixes you made. Adding the same song again opens the one you already have rather than starting over.
Where it lives
Your library is stored inside your browser on this device. That means:
- It's there when you come back, with no sign-in.
- It doesn't follow you to another browser or computer.
- Clearing your browser's site data for MIDI.PLAY removes it.
The separate instrument tracks are large (a few hundred MB per song), so they are kept on MIDI.PLAY's server for a while rather than in your browser. If they've been cleared, the song still plays; you just can't hear the split backing until you split it again.
